
Street Fighter, the franchise responsible for popularizing an entire video game genre, and Tekken, the leading 3D fighting game franchise in the world, cross paths to bring you Street X Tekken! For the clash of two titan titles Capcom tapped Supercool Creative for their “X the Line” social media campaign across Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. In order to build buzz and incite fans to partake in the friendly rivalry and the crossing into enemy territory between the two games, Supercool gave fans 5 international contests on Facebook, giveaways on Twitter and YouTube, a custom Facebook tab in 6 languages, while engaging them with the brand daily up to the launch of the game. To tie all the engagement, rivalry, conversations, news and everything Street Fighter X Tekken, Supercool produced a 12-episode bi-weekly web series called “X The Line.” Striking a balance between reaching a mass audience while acknowledging the hardcore gamer crowd, the web series updates fans on all the happenings with Street Fighter X Tekken, contests, interviewing top players, providing exclusive news, gameplay footage, and highlighting fans for an interactive social media experience.
